  • J comes home, and talks about future residence...

    My "Significant Other"/BF J comes back to the states in like 2 1/2 weeks!!! I am beyond thrilled. This whole LDR things sucks... not being able to kiss him goodnight, cuddle, even just text him when I am bored in class, waiting for his internet to work enough to skype maybe once a week... it blows. But as he keeps telling me, we can make it through the next two years of this. It will just prove to us and everyone else we are meant to be. (Though the hopeless romantic, girl in me says so does a proposal) I know we can do it though. He is the one I want to spend my forever with. Two years really isnt that long, plus he will get done and get paid, I will graduate and then we can move anywhere and live our life together. That's our plan. Where we want to move to is a little up in the air. He wants to move somewhere snowy. He hopes to open a snowboarding resort. While I dont' care too much, I just want to teach. We used to consider Amsterdam and the Netherlands as a great place, or Canada, it's just hard to beocme citizens. So for the most part our talks have surrounded Alaska or Colorado. Gahhh imagine me, a Florida raised girl living in Alaska.... I complain when it gets to be 50 out. lol. Plus that is sooooooo far from all of my family. :/// I don't know, thankfully we have 2 years-ish to talk about it all and figure out just what we are wanting to do. It has to be a joined desicison considering it affects both of us, I'm not just going to up and move somewhere because he says so, and I would never expect him to do the same. Compromise. Goodness I wish it was already 2 years from now... Winter 2012 anyone??? :)

  • I hate long distance, I miss him too much...

    I hate long distance, I miss him too much...

    My boyfriend of 9 months (this week!) has been living in South America for the last 2 months. He and I are really into the relationship and he has said a thousand times that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. I love him so much. I would do anything for him, and us. And now that means this LDR we are in will get even worse. I was fine with being with him every other 3 months,  and now, he will be here for a month and half, then leave me in the middle of January (right before my birthday and our 1 year anniversary) and will not be allowed to come back to me until November. He is working for his mother, who financially supports him (especially with all his medical expenses). She told him if he wanted to spend the summer with me in the states, that she would financially cut him off for good (nice right? ughhhh). It's horrible. And I can't expect someone who just found out he has a serious medical issue to give up all his meds and treatment support to live with me. I told him I would not ask him to choose between family and me right now, it isn't fair. I know the whole him working in South America situation is supposed to be over in 2 years, which perfectly coincides with my graduation from college. So it won't be like I'm living in my apartment working and waiting. I'll at least be busy with school and friends and work and internship and such. I just wish things had worked out differently. When we first started talking he was living in town, we worked together, he hadn't had a seizure yet, and we were carefree. Then that all changed. I wish it had worked out a little differently but, I can't change it. He keeps telling me that this is going to show the world and all our critics that we are in love and we can take on anything thrown at us. Those critics being both of our mothers lol and random people. I just can't wait until he comes back, this is our first seperation with the South America thing... and I need to see him. We skype, or used to. His internet has gotten ridiculously expensive and his mom's in the middle of switching... so I haven't talked to him on skype in over a week. He's called me twice, yet I missed on call due to classes. But that is it. It is killing me. I do not know how army wives/girlfriends do it. They go so much longer without contact and their men are in dangerous, life threatening situations. I have so much respect for those women sticking by their men. Well, if anyone else has been in a situation like this, I'd love to hear from you. I talk to my best friend about it, but she just keeps telling me how hard her "LDR" with a guy who lived 2 hours away (who she saw every other weekend, talked to daily, and texted constantly...all things I can't do). It's not the same when you live a short distance like that. IDK, I guess I just feel it's different...

  • Some BF advice?

    Okay people out there...if anyone actually reads this... I need some advice, input, opinion, your two cents, something..

    So my boyfriend of over 7 months J is living in Chile right now. He is absolutely everything I could have asked for and more. He is always talking about our future together, like 10+ years down the road. He has mentioned once that he does not see a point in marriages though, but I did tell him they mean so much more to the girl you are with. That it is something little girls (some) dream of from the time they are like seven. Anyways, now that he is gone, we have been emailing a lot and deciding what country we want to live in after I graduate from college. The other day he told me that he could not wait until it was just him and I, us together forever, free to be together anywhere we want to. I told some friends that and the immediately think that when he gets back he is going to propose to me or something. I am not so sure. I would love to think that he feels that way about me, but how can you be somewhat sure? I know I feel like I can be with him forever, and I love him more than anyone else. But still... I am left wondering how you can know or feel (or something) that someone wants to ask you to spend the rest of your life with him? Or how you know he is THE ONE? Or how he knows you are? I don't know anything... I need advice. lol

  • bettering myself?

    Well, it has been a while since I last wrote. I just saw that before now the last one was about J moving to Chile! Well..... that never happened. Thank God! Plans changed --- he quit his job. dropped out og the community college. and then his mom decideds that he isn't moving down there! ughhhhdkjcnvkdjnsjndfnjjlnljnv.

    anyways we have been together since feb 5th <3 and he just left on a month long road trip with the family. i couldnt go because i cant afford to take a month off of work... rent and things like that dont pay themselves! so while he's gone i think im going to do a lot of personal bettering myself. i think. maybe. i just dont know where to start.....
